Size
Midi beds are usually smaller than high sleepers and have a shorter ladder or staircase. They are therefore ideal for smaller rooms. They can take only a single UK mattress and add a variety of useful components beneath. From a smart desk that opens up into an open cupboard that is ready for totes, to stylish drawer storage with a smooth, no-wobble operation.
Many of our Midi cabin beds are available in a variety of colours, so you can pick the one that fits your child's room most. Some even include a variety of bespoke storage units. The desk can be moved between the two units with wheels. There are four drawers of storage, and two cupboards that are equipped with doors. The Eli F takes it to the next level by having doors that match the color of the foot and headboards.
The Luna low-line loft bed or midi-storage bed is compact, and includes everything you require. A ladder that can be turned and a desk with wheels that slides in and out and three drawer cabinets and chest are all included. You can also get it in a reverse configuration, for example the ladder on the left. You can ask for this in the store or indicate this request at the time of checkout.

Some midi loft beds that have storage come with the desk already in the bunk (as illustrated in the photo above) Some, such as our Luna midi bunk have the ladder set on the right hand side so that the desk can be put at the left (please inquire in the store, by phone, or in the comments section when you're shopping if this is important to you).
It is important to note that the majority of Midi loft beds with desks require a standard UK single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) with a wooden slatted base. This isn't included in the cost of the bed, therefore we recommend looking at our fantastic mattress deals to find a deal that fits your budget!

Mattress
Most midi beds use standard UK single mattresses. The top bunk is equipped with a safety rail for added peace of mind. Some models have an amazing pull-out drawer for a trundle to sleep in or more storage space below the bed. They can be opened or fitted with a door (please refer to the product's details for more information).
Many midi cabins include desks that can be moved from one level to the next or chests. This provides children with a unique space to store their belongings, and you don't have to take precious floor space with large wardrobes or shelving units.
Some models have gone one step further by having cabinets that are flush mounted, or even a part of the headboard or footboard. This is great for storing books and toys.
